Omaha Supernovas hosted inaugural Pro Volleyball Federation game
Nebraska is the acclaimed volleyball capital of the world.
Nebraska Cornhusker Volleyball has won five national championships.
There's no doubt that people care about volleyball in Nebraska. This is why the Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF), the first professional volleyball league of its kind in the United States, decided to come to Nebraska. The founders had a vision for women’s professional volleyball that they wanted to make a reality, and in the spring of 2023, they did just that. The Omaha Supernovas, Omaha’s first professional volleyball team, is one of seven teams across the country that will play in the inaugural season. The PVF gave the Supernovas the rights to host the very first match against the Atlanta Vibe this past Wednesday, January 24th, at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, NE.
Kendall White is one of the eighteen players for the Omaha Supernovas to play in the inaugural game.
“You guys are legendary in the volleyball world. After Nebraska day and everything, the volleyball buzz is buzzing. I’m very excited for the first match and for the whole season,” she said in an interview with the PVF.
Bally Live will stream nearly all of the Supernovas matches live via the Bally Live app.
