ASB Social Vice President Update

Hello everyone! My name is Ashley Bower and I am your ASB Social Vice President this year. Though the year hasn’t been that long, we’ve already had a lot of cool events!
We started the year off with our annual handshake, decades themed, where we had great food and a live band. Then we had a crazy great bubble soccer tournament with some sweet cash prizes. Next, we played real soccer at World Cup bringing back the country pride! #AfricaForTheWin Later, ASB members were hidden around Lincoln with more money, and we sent out clues to help you find them. We also celebrated midterms being over with free frosty’s. We even had our first “Hour with Bower” that gave me a whole bunch of great feedback and fresh ideas!
I’ve had a lot of fun planning these events and the ones coming up. I’m really excited for our next big event, which is Barn Party on the 28th! Fun activities include: 9 square, human foosball, hayrack rides, food, and more!
This year, Barn Party will be held at Camp Sonshine, giving a fresh look to a classic event. Finally, our biggest event this year will be banquet at…… THE OMAHA AQUARIUM! I’m so thrilled for the banquet we’re going to host on November 12, and there has been so much planning already put into place. If anyone has ideas for banquet or any other future events, I would love to hear them; after all, I’m here to make these events great for all of the student body!
I can’t wait to get to these events, and even to the ones we haven’t planned yet. I love planning these fun events for you all and I wouldn’t be able to do it without y’all’s support. Thank you for making this school an amazing place to be!
