New Decade, New Media

We are now in a new decade. With this new decade comes new movies, music, concerts, video games, great moments and disappointing ones. With this comes empty wallets, lost time and even the possibility of becoming social hermits as we watch a movie, listen to the newest album and play the latest Switch game simultaneously.

We have so much to look forward to in this upcoming year. Mac Miller’s final album and Justin Bieber’s next album will be released. Cristopher Nolan’s new movie, Tenet, and the next superhero movies will also come out. In addition, we can look forward to new TV shows and games. This year is going to be an amazing one. I am so excited about these releases and I can’t wait to write about them.

We may be surprised by how the releases turn out. A new album from your favorite musician or a movie that nobody has heard of could be the best of the year. This year is going to be full of surprises.

Of course, no year is perfect. There will be movies, albums and more that disappoint. But I’m confident those failures won’t distract from all the good that will come.

Why is entertainment so important? In the midst of classes, tests, job and internship searches, and overall stress, media is a welcome distraction. A good album or movie can take you away from a bad day for a few hours. This is why entertainment is so powerful. It can remove someone from their life and take them to a different place. A person can experience more. Books, video games, music, and Netflix are all outlets for stress.

This year you will have many ways of finding your way out of whatever situation you are in. Forget your troubles and relax for a little bit. Enjoy the new decade.
