Your Guide To The Library On Union Campus
Navigating the Library
The Union Library – or the Ella Johnson Crandall Memorial Library – is located in the Don Love building here on campus. The library offers our students and campus residents fiction books and non-fiction including research, history, and ebooks. Additionally, there are some movies displayed in the front of the library as you walk in.
The library is equipped with various resources. In fact, students can utilize computers, scanners, and printers to print off assignments. Staff are available to help you in finding a book you might need for a class assignment. There is also the Writing Studio, where students can go for help on a writing assignment and where someone is always willing to help. The library also contains all kinds of areas dedicated to studying: study rooms in the back and downstairs. One of the most popular study areas is in Student Success, where there are booths that you and your friends can study. And if you don’t want to go to the physical library, there is a link in the Union’s website (uau.edu) that takes you straight to the library’s website, which states the hours that they are open and closed during the week, weekends, and holidays.
Additionally, the website gives you a catalog search where you can look for different topics, databases where you can go and find articles, and peer research papers to help you in anything you need. It provides research guides for different topics like art and graphic design, biomedical science and communication, as well as many other fields. There is also a place to book a quiet study room for yourself or for you and your friends. The website shows an inter-library loan – where it states the procedure for requesting a book and an article; it gives you A-Z Periodicals and a link to your own library account.
The staff in the library are always there to help you with anything you need, whether it is looking or checking out a book, or scheduling a quiet study room to get some studying in. Overall, the library is a crucial part of the Union campus. It is there to help all students, whether with assignments or just by being a quiet place to do some work. Stop by anytime!
