A Job for the Summer

Joining summer camp staff this year

As we enter a new semester and get closer to summer vacation, some of you might be looking for a fun summer job to fill your time this year. You might wonder, “Where am I going to find a summer job that will be meaningful and pay good money?” Well, fear not. Summer camp applications are open already! For those of you looking for a fun summer job, Broken Arrow Ranch is the closest camp to Union and is located in Kansas. Why summer camp? Working at a summer camp can give you a unique opportunity to gain work experience, build valuable skills such as leadership and teamwork, and also make some money for school (Union offers a camp scholarship that matches your earnings!). For those of you who are a little shy or introverted, it can also help you meet new people and make new friends.

Broken Arrow Ranch is a place of adventure and growth; it offers a fun, Christ-centered experience for kids of all ages. They have been pointing young people to Jesus since the 1970s through activities that help them find that God loves them. Broken Arrow offers nature, sports, music, crafts, water activities, archery, tubing, and gymnastics. There are also horses!

It is crucial if you want to work at Broken Arrow Ranch or any other summer camp that you get your application turned in as soon as possible. You don't want to wait until the last minute to do it. You can find Broken Arrow Ranch’s application by visiting their website and clicking on the “Register Now” button to access the registration portal. There will be applications listed for new and returning staff as well as registration links for camp weeks that kids, teens, and adults can enjoy. To be a member of the Broken Arrow staff, you must be 16 or older.

If you are looking for a fun and memorable summer job, working at a summer camp is one of the best ways to go. Start researching and get your applications in on time. I hope that this information has helped you, and that you give working at summer camp this year a thought. If you do, I hope you have the time of your life!
