As we head into the first week of the semester and come back to campus from our Christmas vacation, here are some gift-giving ideas for students on a budget.For those of us who love drinking coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, but hate that as soon as we step out into the cool weather, our drinks become cold or lukewarm, an insulated travel mug is the best gift to give! It will keep your drinks hot for a couple of hours.

When thinking of those who like to read big books or shop for groceries, a durable tote bag is a great gift to give. You can get one with a cute design that reflects the interests of the person the bag is for. A durable tote bag provides a sturdy and reusable way to carry different items that one might be afraid to put into a normal paper bag or plastic bag. Another idea is a pair of warm socks or a cozy blanket for when the weather gets colder. A nice pair of warm socks with funny or cute designs on them might just be the right gift to give, and a blanket helps the holidays feel a bit warmer. For the artists and writers in your life, a quality notebook could be a great gift idea. That person could doodle in it, write down ideas, or even draw in it. 

A cable organizer could be awesome for those of us who dislike when our cords and long chargers take up too much space on our floors and desks. Alternatively, a portable cable case that can fit your electronic chargers for when you are traveling or need to carry your chargers to class or work could be a helpful way to consolidate cables.

One of the most meaningful gifts could be a piece of wall art or a custom-made card that you created with your own hands. The card could have things that represent the person or persons you are gifting the cards to, such as what they like to eat, movies they like, and their favorite colors.

Lastly, Gift Cards are another great gift. They could be to the person's favorite coffee shops, apps (such as music and ebooks), or stores. This method allows for an easy budget, such as ten, fifteen, or twenty-five dollars.There are so many great gift ideas that you can come up with that won’t go over the budget you create.
