Love is in the air
Valentine festivities
After weeks of successful Student Association events, the momentum continued as this past Saturday, students gathered for a Valentine’s-themed Family Feud night in Woods Auditorium. The event offered students a relaxed evening filled with laughter, friendly competition, and meaningful connections.
Upon arrival, students were greeted with tables arranged in a cozy Valentine’s dinner-style setup. Friends gathered around decorated tables, sharing food and conversation, while music played in the background. The atmosphere felt less like a formal event and more like a casual dinner date with friends.
The highlight of the evening was the Family Feud, but Valentine’s Edition. Volunteers stepped on stage to participate in the classic game show format, answering Valentine-themed questions while the audience cheered them on. Each round sparked laughter and excitement as teams tried to guess the most popular responses. Even those who stayed seated were actively engaged, calling out answers and celebrating each correct guess.
Food was offered throughout the night, giving students a chance to grab a bite while enjoying the games. The combination of shared meals and interactive activities helped create a sense of community, allowing students from different programs and friend groups to connect. A raffle drawing toward the end of the evening added an extra layer of anticipation, which kept attendees involved until the final moments.
More than just a game night, the event served as a reminder of how important these gatherings are for student life. With busy schedules, tests and exams, commitments, and midterms just around the corner, it can be easy to feel disconnected. Events like Valentine’s Family Feud provide the perfect opportunity to slow down, laugh together, and build relationships that go beyond the classroom. Paired with earlier Student Association and club events this semester, this past weekend's Valentine Family Feud-themed night highlighted the value of creating intentional spaces for students to relax and feel supported. Whether it was volunteering on stage, enjoying food with friends, or simply watching from the audience, everyone had the opportunity to be part of something uplifting.
As the semester progresses, community moments continue to shape campus life. Valentine’s Family Feud proved that meaningful experiences don’t have to be complicated, sometimes all it takes is good food, fun games, and a room full of people ready to enjoy each other’s company.
