Hey guys! We’re back for another semester! I want to say welcome to all of the new students here on campus! Here’s a look at the upcoming sporting events in 2020. 

February will be a busy month for sports. First up is the Super Bowl, the National Football League’s championship game, which will be played in Miami between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers.

On Feb. 26, the World Track Championships will take place in Berlin, Germany. The World Track Championships is an annual event that features races for many types of disciplines and distances in track cycling. The Championships are regulated by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). 

The FA Cup Final takes place on May 23 in Wembley Stadium in London. The FA Cup is casually called the Cup Final and is the last match of the Football Association Challenge Cup. This is one of the most attended soccer events in the world. 

The Stanley Cup is the championship of the National Hockey League, the foremost professional ice hockey league in the United States and Canada. The Stanley Cup is the oldest professional sports championship in the United States. It was first presented in 1893. 

The Euro 2020 takes place on June 12 in London. The Euro 2020 is the primary  soccer competition between the senior men’s national teams of the Union of European Football Association (UEFA). The championship is the second most watched international soccer tournament after the FIFA World Cup. 

The 2020 Summer Olympics are taking place from July 24 to Aug. 9 in Tokyo, Japan. They have added five new sports to the Olympics this year which are baseball/softball, karate, skateboarding, sport climbing and surfing. 

We have a lot to look forward to in 2020. Keep an eye out for these events!
