SA ice skating setting the stage

An Overview

As Union students come back to their home away from home, their energy for this semester is unmistakable. Hallways and classrooms are now once again filled with conversations, and students are now settling into their normal routines, both familiar and new. With everyone returning refreshed, ready to begin a new semester, the Student Association made sure this semester started on the right foot, or rather, the right skate.

This past Saturday, an ice skating event was hosted by the SA team to officially welcome students back to campus. The turnout made it all so clear how much community connection matters. Students arrived excited to kick off the second semester with something fun. The ice skating rink quickly filled up with laughter, music, and unforgettable moments. Whether people were stepping onto the ice for the first time or skating confidently with friends, one thing is for sure: there was no shortage of smiles.

Saturday night was a perfect representation of what the Student Association team aims to provide. An environment to unwind, reconnect, and build relationships outside of the classroom. After almost a full month apart, the ice skating event became a place where friends reunited, new faces were welcomed, and shared experiences brought everyone closer together. Saturday night wasn’t just a random event; it was a reminder and a statement that Union’s campus is more than just a place of academia; it was a reminder that our campus is a community.

Saturday night's ice skating event was especially memorable because it sets the tone for the semester ahead. Jumping straight into such a high-energy event immediately after break felt like a banger start. This energized students and created a suspenseful excitement for what’s to come in the coming weeks, while leaving people conversing about the night long after the skates came off.

As classes begin and schedules start filling up, the Student Association would love for you and everyone to have a successful semester, as this semester holds countless opportunities that extend far beyond the classroom, opportunities for growth and connection, opportunities for building relationships and making memories that last a lifetime. So, as the semester unfolds, stay involved, stay connected, and keep watch for what’s to come next. Ice skating was an indication that this semester is already off to an incredible start. Welcome back, here’s to a great semester ahead and many more unforgettable Student Association events still to come!
