Spring Semester Registration
How to register for Spring 2026
As we are nearing the end of this semester and getting ready for a new year, registration for the next semester is opening up. It is good to get registered for classes as soon as possible to avoid missing your chance to get a seat in a course that you require or are interested in. Here are some helpful tips for those of you who may have questions about getting registered for classes, as well as some electives that you might want to add to your schedule. I’ll also include advice for those wanting to add in classes that you might enjoy or that line up with your interests and hobbies.
There are two ways that you can register for classes next semester. First, you can go into the Union portal, navigate to the Self-service tab, and login. When you have done that, it will open a page with a calendar on it, at the very top of the page you will see six different buttons: Registration, Grades, Planning, Finance, Search, and Shared Access. The button to press is Registration; in doing so you will see a little box pop up that says Courses, My Schedule, Academic Plan, and What if. Press Courses, which will take you to a search tab where you can search for any course you want to enroll in at the top of the search bar. There will be a dropdown menu for the year 2026 and a session behind it, it might say Fall or Summer. Press it and change the season to 2026/Spring, and then proceed on looking for courses that are required or that you are very interested in.
The other option is to talk to your academic advisor and schedule a meeting to talk about the classes you are interested in and to see what fits into your schedule. And if you don't know where your respective advisors are located, you may find them by checking your Portal, their names are located atop your list of current classes.
There are some electives that you might enjoy that you might want to add to your schedule. For example, art electives such as watercolor painting, acrylic painting, pottery, and drawing fundamentals. There are different music lessons such as guitar, piano, and many others for those of you who are interested in music. There are so many various electives that you could look for and add to your schedule next semester.
